My name is Isaiah William Hoppe. My freshman year in high school, I was presented with an opportunity to take a correspondence art course. Wanting to have the highest quality training possible, I was pleased to learn that Charles Schultz, creator of the Peanuts comic strip, took this course as well. When it came time to choose a college, Pensacola Christian College was the best option because of its affordability and because of its proven high-quality art program. PCC’s art department has given me a deeper understanding of art, both technically and spiritually, but it is just the beginning.
When I make a painting, the goal is to produce a positive emotional response in the viewer. The goal is to deliver a work to a client that will give them positive emotions every time they pass by it or glance at it. Whether they realize its positive influence on them or not, they will have a positive message hanging on their wall for years. In order to get my positive message across more quickly, I often use people as the subject of my paintings. People relate with people. As I enter the professional sphere of art, my goal is to add positive value to the world through my art.
How did I get where I am? I got where I am by loads of mercy and grace bestowed on me by my creator God Who is with me right now. I don’t deserve to have been blessed with my loving and encouraging and correcting family. My parents were the ones who saw my areas of interest and paid to put me through a 2 year art program that took me 4 years to complete. Well, that’s all for now. If you have any questions or would just like to comment on something, feel free to contact me. Thanks!
